si-weet si-weet surprise party - the preparation
honey checked w/ vicar to see if there'll be any big celebration for his dearest wife janet's birthday on the "Children's day" April 4th.
and yes, we were going to throw her a big surprise birthday party w/o letting her know in advance.
a few days before, honey helped vicar to book the bubble tea restaurant, 生活小品. reserved a table of 20, near the front entrance, picked a birthday song that'll be played when she entered the restaurant.
i was a bit suspicious because, how come vicar didn't do the job but my honey had to do a lot of preparation?
anyhow, i think it's probably bcoz vicar lived faraway and he probably had to keep all these secrets from her and it's easier to have someone else to do it.
on the day, we finished our cell group early, made it to the restaurant before they arrived.
everyone was wondering, when will they arrive? will they see us?
on the other hand, janet was a bit upset bcoz her family didn't even greet her for the entire day! and even her cell group left early!
vicar was funny enough that he suggested taking her to an "up-dup" bubble tea shop for a bubble tea, and then bought a piece of creamy cake from a supermarket. coz... she's old enough and didn't need to celebrate! hahhaa... of cos.. he was just kidding... secretly and slowly, he took her to 生活小品 and said, maybe we can try out this restaurant.
alright, we were all set. the restaurant was looping the birthday song for a few times. when they walked into the restaurant, we were all singing but janet didn't see us and she wondered how come so many people were celebrating birthday today, but me? in fact, the song was for her! she was surprised to see us and his brother+fiance, and she finally showed a big smile on her face!

we cut the cake, took picture, enjoyed the delicious cake. suddenly, vicar asked wayne to go washroom w/ him.
janet said to me: when did they become so close together?
yes. they were doing something only girls would do - washroom together?! ewwww.... maybe vicar had more birthday treats for janet that he needed to discuss w/ wayne. alright, so i let wayne to go w/ him.
but... how come... vicar came back w/o wayne?
